I started camping as a young kid with my dad and my twin brother. We would backpack camp in Colorado, carrying all of our gear up a trail to find that perfect spot nestled among the pines, next to a stream, maybe on a bluff with a really great view. I continued this love of the outdoors and camping to explore car-camping, camping in a VW van, sleeping in the woods of Northern California in a greenhouse, and many other fun outdoor adventures.
I love everything about camping, from the food prep to the relaxing feeling of lying in your tent and having a cool breeze blow over you. The effort it takes to haul your gear in pursuit of the perfect spot to set up a home base and explore the area. Telling stories around a campfire while roasting s’mores.

I continue to hike and camp, and have even started this webpage/blog thing as a way to launch and build a campground! How perfect this prompt is today.
