Lord Huron at Red Rocks, May 14th, 2019. One of the best concerts I have been to. I went by myself, a little birthday present to me, and had a great time. Lucius was the opener, and they are incredible. They came out to help harmonize the last song of the night, “The night we met,” and you can find videos of the disco ball turning on and lighting up the crowd right when the song really kicks in. What a magical experience. I have been to many concerts at Red Rocks, one of the most iconic outdoor venues to see a show. I’ve seen Radiohead there, the first ever Warped Tour, Big Head Todd and the Monsters a few times, The Avett Brothers, The Flaming Lips, and many more. I took it for granted a little bit because it was right in my backyard, a quick 15-minute drive away. I could hear the bass lines from my backyard and see the lasers, lights, and projections on the rocks.
