Pine Lake Fishing Club & Campground

Friends…I awoke this morning to a crisp and humid day, the post-rain dew and dripping leaves. The sticky feeling, the peace of the rainstorm having fueled the plants and foliage. I love the power of a garden after a rainstorm. You can almost feel the energy that the plants are exuding.
I walked the dog, drank some coffee by the open window, and listened to the birds. I scrolled through the news and saw two very different languages being spoken. One was a leader of a nation publicly mocking a trans weightlifter and acting out some disgusting scenes in front of the press and his “followers”.
The other side of the language I was seeing was a man showing off his Earthship in the middle of the New Mexico desert, and another man dressing whimsically and fun, expressing himself in his true sense. That man makes me smile from ear to ear, and today in his honor, I wore my new rainbow trout earrings and my wildest shirt in my wardrobe.
The dichotomy hit me hard this morning. One side is a language spewing hate, division, and lies. The other side is speaking of acceptance, love, and peace. Such a wild time we live in. The good thing is that we have a choice. We can choose which language we agree with, and which one we want to accept in our own lives and share with others. Thankfully, I am old enough to know better, to see through the busllshit and to make up my own mind about what is right and wrong. I worry about the children and the future generations that are eating up this negative garbage and how that will affect them later in life.

I can only control so much, but I guarantee that you have a safe space with me and my crew. I will continue to spread a message of peace, love, and acceptance.

This weekend I will be at a booth in the Twin Cities Pride Festival, spreading that message of love and trying to network and find like-minded folks who want to create and enjoy safe spaces in nature.
