It’s impossible for me to try to write for everyone and to explain what they don’t understand. One big thing that I don’t understand is the greed and wealth that seem to go hand-in-hand. There seems to be a drive to get more money and obtain more resources, even if it is at the expense of others. Wars over oil and land that doesn’t really belong to them in the first place, killing and displacing innocent people in the process. Politicians with no moral compass who can order young men and women to die in foreign lands just so that the politicians and their friends can get richer. The whole system is so corrupt and twisted that it seems like it is beyond repair. At least here in the U.S. There are ultra-wealthy people that could use that wealth to end world hunger. Bezos could use his fortune to stop the suffering of millions of people, sustain and build new economies, and provide a future to people who do not have a positive one. The resources are all there, they are just being hoarded by selfish people.
Imagine real quick a world where there was no greed and no money. No one is fighting over who has the most fake 1’s and 0’s. Instead, the world would be fighting to stay alive and to make sure that we are doing it in the best way possible to sustain our Earth and those living on it. Imagine being able to travel the world and experience all of the different people and cultures. If there were no greed and no money, we would have to come up with new and radical ways to travel, such as solar power, wind energy, water, or hydro power. Farms would be developed to actually feed people, instead of producing corn and soy. Houses could be built, clothes could be made, people could be fed. All of the resources are there…why can’t we as a human species be better about helping others?
