This is an entire album that evokes these feelings of happiness, pain, perseverance, depression, beauty, and strength. I discovered this album during a very dark time in my life, and it helped me to see light in the darkness. This album to me is a journey..of a man falling in love, sharing the joy of children with his partner, the pain and depression of his partner’s death, and ultimately, rising back up to face life again. The album to me is a journey, a story from beginning to end. It is powerful and heartbreaking and beautiful. I have tattooed myself while listening to specific tracks of this album. I have wept while listening to this album. I have celebrated life and found purpose again while listening to this album. One of my all-time favorites.
