I would master the skill of fly fishing! I have been practicing a lot and have found it very challenging to target and find the fish. Maybe it is where I am fishing. Maybe it is what type of fly I am using. I have no idea. I have been watching YouTube videos and learning new things, and then trying them out in real life, with some success. When I fish with a spinner-type lure and some worms, I can catch bass and pike all the time. Fly fishing is much different, and I’ve only caught a handful of fish so far. I’m leaning into it, though, and I’m really trying to figure it out. That’s a big part of it, though, right? The learning and the journey of it all. I look back on some of the tattoos I made years ago, or some of the sewing projects I did even a year ago, and reflect on how far I have come and how my skill has increased. I’ll keep plugging away and enjoy the flow!
Funny side note about my writing yesterday…one of my best high school buddies wrote me saying that he was at the Messi game in Kansas City! So rad!
