Can we talk about the World Cup for a moment? I have become slightly obsessed with catching all of the action. I have been looking forward every day to the matches ahead. During the matches, my daughters and I try to learn some interesting things about the countries playing, find them on the map, and then pick who we are going for. Sometimes the pick does depend on whose jersey looks cooler. I’m looking at you, Ghana!

With a design inspired by Kwaku Ananse, a figure from West African folklore often depicted as a spider, the new Ghana home shirt has a multicolored web scribbled all over it that emanates out from the central Black Star crest.

I definitely need to mention Scotland in here as well..

The Netherlands all-orange jersey is great. Argentina looks sharp, as did their star Messi last night with 3 goals. That guy is ridiculous. Norway’s home jersey is a good-looking one too, and they have a star on that squad who had two amazing goals yesterday.

I’ve never paid much attention to the World Cup, but this time, I find myself trying to learn all about it, following the stories, and getting excited watching it all unfold.
