There are a few books that I can read over and over. They tend not to be novels, but more like wildflower and bird identification books. I keep a book about birds and my binoculars next to a window and my big comfy chair. I find myself flipping through the book often, especially now that the birds are returning. I love books about wildflowers and trying to identify them. When I lived in Colorado, I would go on hikes a lot and try to name all of the flowers that I saw. These were some of my favorite flowers that I would see, they are called “little red elephant heads”:
There is one novel that I have read a couple of times, and that is “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay” by Michael Chabon. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Michael Chabon about two Jewish cousins, Joe Kavalier and Sammy Clay, who create comic book superheroes in New York City during the Golden Age of comics, set against the backdrop of World War II. The historical fiction novel follows their lives as they navigate the burgeoning comic industry, personal struggles, and the looming threat of fascism in Europe, exploring themes of heroism, identity, and escape. It’s an amazing book, and I believe it is one of the books that taught me about empathy and compassion for all humans. My daughters can re-read novels multiple times..there’s a series that one of them has re-read like 4 or 5 times now. It amazes me, I have such a long list of books to read that the idea of re-reading now just makes me laugh. Who has time for that?

This is so cool!! I love it!! I did a speech on wildflowers in 6th grade…I still remember my intro! AND I won the competition. I’m also from Colorado and have Rocky Mountain Columbines as a half sleeve. Great read my friend!
