What’s the most fun way to exercise?

Here at the P.L.F.C, we like to keep active and get our exercise in. In the summertime, we love to be outside fishing, hiking, and camping. The preferred method of fishing is off an inflatable paddleboard. Pumping that sucker up can be an excellent start to a workout! Once we are out on the water, paddling around, fishing, and sometimes swimming, are a great outdoors exercise.
The fishing club also enjoys backpacking and camping. We try to hit a few different campgrounds in the summer that you have to hike into. Carrying all of your gear, all of your food, and sleeping gear can get heavy, but it’s a fun way to explore and get the privacy and solitude that camping that way offers. Hauling all of your gear up a trail is the way that I grew up hiking and camping in Colorado, and I love that adventure and exercise that you are rewarded with.
I also play a lot of hockey, which is my favorite way to exercise. I play in a few different leagues around town, and the games are usually an hour and a half long. I play with a great group of folks, and I truly love it. I used to run on an indoor treadmill to try to keep in better shape for hockey, but lately I find that by walking my dog and jogging with him, I can keep in good hockey shape. The routine of going to a gym to run indoors was a difficult one to keep up with, when I can get outside with my dog multiple times a day and enjoy exploring the neighborhood together.
This weekend, I am fixing up my mountain bike so that I can start commuting with that to work a few times a week instead of driving. I am really looking forward to that! I am excited to start biking around again as the weather starts to get nicer.
